World of Warcraft - What's New in Patch 3.3.3?
by Alex Cooper
This week patch 3.3.3 was finally applied to the Live Servers, bringing several interesting and new things to the game to make it even more exciting for us, all World of Warcraft fans. Here are some of the additions to the game as well as some of the changes. One of the coolest things is the new vendor, Frozo The Renowned who has several items for sale, which you can buy with Frozen Orbs. If you are like me, you have probably spent many hours during the last few months doing heroic instances for Emblems of Frost and Emblems of Triumph to gear up as many of your characters as possible. Every end boss in a Heroic 5 man dungeon does drop 1 Frost Orbs which the party rolls on, so the chances that you have quite a few of those in your bank is high. I had about 80 Frozen Orbs at start of this week, for example. Frozo The Renowned is vendor NPC located in the Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange. The first thing I did once the patch was deployed was go and check what he has to offer us, and here is the list: Crusader Orb (6 Frozen Orb) Runed Orb (4 Frozen Orb) Eternal Fire, Eternal Earth, Eternal Water, Eternal Air, Eternal Life, Eternal Shadow, Frost Lotus (1 Frozen Orb each) Pattern: Frosty Flying Carpet [Tailors Only] (6 Frozen Orb) Another change I noticed is the tuning done to the Random Dungeon System changes. First of all, the Frozen Orb has only *greed* roll activated, which means that everyone can choose only *greed* on it. This is a nice change, as before people were often complaining when 2-3 people roll Greed and 1 Person rolls Need and takes the Orb. Second change to the Random Dungeon System is that now you can write a reason for kicking someone out of the group before you initiate a vote. Giving a reason for something is always a good thing, so it seems quite fair that Blizzard added this feature. Profession changes also took effect in this patch, some of them very useful and long waited for. Tailors for example will no longer have to wait 4 days before creating their special cloth types - Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave. The cooldown on the Smelt Titansteel ability for the miners is also removed. The effect of this change is almost instant - prices on the Auction House for some of the craftable items have drop down drastically - and this is a good thing for everyone who is interested in buying some of these craftable items. Additionally the materials requirements for craftable items from Ulduar patterns are being cut down, which makes the players even happier. For example, here are the material requirements for few of the Ulduar patterns in the game now, after the patch is applied to the Live Servers: Blacksmithing Battlelord's Plate Boots - Titansteel Bar x 5, Runed Orb x 6. Belt of the Titans - Titansteel Bar x 5, Runed Orb x 6. Leatherworking Belt of Arctic Life - Heavy Borean Leather x 4, Arctic Fur x 3, Runed Orb x 6 Belt of Dragons - Arctic Fur x 3, Icy Dragonscale x 20, Runed Orb x 6 Tailoring Cord of the White Dawn - Moonshroud x 8, Runed Orb x 6 Sash of Ancient Power - Spellweave x 4, Ebonweave x 4, Runed Orb x 6
