What is the World of Warcraft and How is it Played?

Invented by Blizzard it is played by a multitude of people. It is a massively multiplayer online game that is played with other players. There are currently over 8 million players of the game. It is fantasy and involves monsters, dragons, swords and sorcery and things of that nature.
You will explore many regions as you are exploring the lands of Azeroth and Kalimdor, vast and beautiful with mountains, deserts, savannas, lush forests, plains and jungles. There are also underground environments and dungeons that can be explored. As you explore new lands, kill beasts and monsters and do battle along the way you will gain points and experience and advance to new quests. Basically, you choose a realm where you want to play and you choose a character that you want to be. There are many, many choices of players, as there are ten races, five of which are in the Horde faction and five which are in the Alliance faction, and nine classes to choose from. You must choose to either join the Horde or the Alliance faction. Each faction is different and has different tasks in the world that can be accomplished. These factions cannot talk to each other. There is a war between the Horde and the Alliance factions so, for instance, if you belong to the Horde faction you will be at war with the Alliance faction. If you are playing with friends you should all join the same faction.
Now you're ready to start playing the game and you begin from a starting point.. You will now venture out into the world of monsters and dragons and creatures of all shapes and sizes. As you gain experience you will advance in level. This is called questing. There are 80 levels, and you can choose a level based upon your experience. Experience is gained by completing quests and exploring new territories and killing beasts and monsters along the way.
This is a game that continues on. There is no end to the game, and your goal is not to win. So you can continue to play this game forever. Blizzard, the game inventor, provides community forums where players can exchange ideas, chat and submit feedback. You must have a World of Warcraft account in order to post on a forum. However, anyone is allowed to read the posts.
